Hi, It’s me Bluedreamer and I am a “budgetarian” traveler. I am fascinated with history. I love exploring various churches and museums in the country. I’ve been into blogging for more than a decade now and I’m still enjoying it! Cheers!
TELL US ABOUT YOUR BLOG. WHEN DID YOU START IT AND WHY?
It’s Me BlueDreamer is a blog about budget-friendly travels. It’s a platform for me to share all my personal experiences and adventures. Interestingly, It’s Me Bluedreamer is already a 10-year-old blog but it did not start as a travel blog at all. It
used to be a personal blog where I share all my random thoughts until I had my
first solo travel experience way back in 2016. From there, I realized that I am
more comfortable with travel as my blogging niche. Before having this domain
(bluedreamer27.com), I started blogging using Blogspot (bluedreamer27.blogspot.com) in 2007. I just love writing “listicles” and I used that blog as my platform to share my ideas online.
Blogging is not really a mainstream way back in the early 2000s. I came across this website before that made me eager to create my own. It’s an online magazine for kids and teens. I find it so fascinating so I asked my techy cousin to help me out. Unfortunately, i found out that I cannot simply build my own site without spending money on it. That’s when I discovered blogspot. It’s free so I gave that a shot. Eventually, i discovered various online blogging community (I don’t know if people are still familiar with Yahoo’s MyBlogLog) which helped me discover other bloggers and made my
site more visible online. I love anything about travel, food, entertainment and
The Fanboy SEO
The Poor Traveler
Not sure if it’s a thing but I am into religious photography. I just find it spiritually enlightening.
I have a homebased job. I am a freelance writer for various websites.
I blog at home. I do both my job and my blog at home. Although during my early years in blogging, I don’t own a PC yet so I used to access my blogs from different internet cafes. Even my Paypal transactions haha I’m not aware how risky it was.
The coolest thing about blogging is you learn a lot from it. You can learn things beyond your expectation. I started out with no clue at all. I don’t even know how to input a hyperlink when I started. I am not aware that blogging can be an effective platform to earn revenue. I don’t know anything about SEO either but because of my active blogging routine, i learned a lot from my blogging buddies. Not to mention the other perks you get from blogging such as being invited on events and other forms of sponsorship.
How do i vent anger? I am proud to say that I am very good with anger management haha. When I’m mad, i go on solitude and let myself cooldown. I don’t rant much online.
I honestly love all my blog posts. I put an equal amount of efforts to all of them. I input all the details and did all the research to make them more credible. I love all my church posts, i love my “Exploring Manila” series as well as my Burias Island Escapades. Those are some of my memorable adventures!
My most popular blog post is the List of Affordable Resorts in Cavite. I guess because I am truly a budgetarian and I am a pure-blood Caviteño so I really know which resort in Cavite will suit everyone’s budget. So i guess they find it really useful too.
I don’t know much about the latest trend in blogging but I know that vlogging is becoming a mainstream. I’ve been into blogging for more than a decade now and I have witnessed a drastic change. Today, most bloggers are using their site as a main platform to earn revenue and the contents are being compromised. Some of them are strategically composing their articles to get more pageviews. They will even write deceiving titles for click baits. One time I was searching for an article about depression and ended up on a site filled with overwhelming ads. They just keep on popping up.. so ayun lalo ako nadepress hahaha
Never hesitate to blog what you are passionate about. The real essence of blogging is that it gives you the ability to voice out your thoughts, your knowledge , your ideas and share them to the world. Earning money from it is more like just a bonus of your hardwork and should never be your topmost priority. The success in blogging is not really measured by the amount of money you earned from it nor the number of readers you get. If you published an article and you feel very satisfied with it, that’s what matters most! Enjoy Blogging!
